Savoy (historical capital city : Chambery) have been independent for a long time. It is part of France only since 1860.
Between Switzerland and Dauphine (capital Grenoble) it is spread over two french counties: the Savoie (prefecture Chambery) and the Haute Savoie (prefecture Annecy).
